Terms & conditions

Last updated: 11 October 2026

These terms apply when you use our website, make a table booking, book a private event or buy offers and gift vouchers from Enigma Cafe Bar. Enigma Cafe Bar is a trading name of Mistero Limited (Company No. 09398576), 18 Coventry Road, Market Harborough LE16 9BZ. Phone 01858 433933, email tom@enigma-mh.co.uk. By making a booking you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Booking requests made online, by phone or in person are requests until we confirm them by phone or email. Tables can be booked online for any group size during the day. For groups of 10 or more we will call you to take a pre-order. On Thursday and Friday evenings when no food-serving event is on, we do not take table bookings, but groups of 10 or more can send a large group request and we will call you back. When an event night serves food, tables can be booked online from 6pm to 8pm. Online bookings close 2 hours before the booking time, and groups of 10 or more need to book at least 48 hours ahead. For anything sooner, or for exclusive hire, please call us on 01858 433933.

Sunday Carvery bookings are taken for two sittings (arrive between 12pm and 12:30pm, or between 2pm and 2:30pm), and Wednesday Carvery bookings are taken from 12pm to 12:45pm. We will hold your table for 15 minutes after your booking time. If you are running late, please call us, otherwise we may release the table.

If you need to cancel or change your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the table to someone else.

Room hire for evening parties is £200 (7:30pm to midnight; an earlier start can be requested). A £100 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your date. We can hold a date for up to 7 days; if another enquiry is received for the same date we will contact you to confirm or release it. Menus, numbers and prices are agreed directly with you before confirmation, and any remaining balance is due on the date we agree with you.

The room hire price shown on our website is for standard private parties. 18th birthday parties and some other events carry an additional charge; please ask for a quote when you enquire.

Live bands must finish by 11pm. Last orders are at 11:30pm with a final call at 11:45pm, and guests must leave the premises by 12:30am.

Table confetti, confetti balloons or cannons and strongly coloured table decorations are not permitted and will be removed. Please keep Blu Tack and tape to a minimum.

Outside caterers may not use our kitchen. If you cater for yourself, plate and cutlery hire is £1 per person.

External DJs and bands must provide PAT test certificates on request.

Items left overnight are left at the owner's risk.

The person who makes the booking is responsible for the behaviour of their guests and for any damage caused to the venue, furniture or equipment beyond normal wear and tear.

Festive menus and Christmas party nights need a £15 per person non-refundable booking fee and a pre-order when you book. Final payment is due 14 days before your booking. The Midweek Christmas Carvery has a £5 per person booking fee. Please tell us about any dietary requirements, intolerances or allergies when you book.

Offers, set menus and Power Hour prices are available on the days and times shown and while stocks last. Offers cannot be used together or with any other promotion unless we say so, and items are not interchangeable. The Friday Set Menu changes every week. We may change or withdraw an offer at any time, but this will not affect a booking we have already confirmed.

All prices include VAT. Prices and menu items on our website are correct when published but may change, and dishes may be unavailable on the day. The prices on our printed menus and at the bar on the day of your visit apply. Food prices are likely to increase in April 2027 in line with inflation.

Our kitchen handles common allergens, including gluten, nuts, milk, eggs, fish, crustaceans and sesame, so we cannot guarantee any dish is completely free from allergens. Please tell a member of our team about any allergy or intolerance before you order, and we will do our best to look after you.

We operate Challenge 25 and may ask for photo ID. We will not serve alcohol to anyone under 18 or to anyone who appears to be intoxicated. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Gift vouchers can be used on food and drink at Enigma Cafe Bar, must be used by the expiry date shown on the voucher, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be replaced if lost. Free room hire prize vouchers are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

Gift vouchers must be used in full in a single visit and cannot be split across multiple visits.

Enigma does not have its own car park. The car park beside the building is privately operated with number-plate (ANPR) cameras, and Enigma cannot cancel or deal with any charges it issues.

We work hard to keep our website accurate and up to date, but information such as opening times, events and menus may change. Events may occasionally be changed or cancelled; we will let you know if you have a booking that is affected. All text, photos and logos on this website belong to Mistero Limited or are used with permission and must not be copied without our consent.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for personal belongings brought onto the premises, except where the law says we must be. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

We use the details you give us to manage your booking or enquiry, as explained in our Privacy policy.

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page when you make your booking applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
